Quicklime, more formally known as calcium oxide (CaO), is a caustic alkaline substance which is produced by heating limestone in specially designed kilns. There are a wide range of uses for quicklime, ranging from mortar to flux, and the substance has been used by humans for centuries
We are engaged in offering good quality Quick Lime that is free from impurities. Quick Lime are the highly reactive product is essential in many industrial processes. Moreover, we offer Quick Lime in various grades and at market leading prices.
Limestone decomposes into quicklime and carbon dioxide
CaCo3 –> CaO + CO2
By weight 100 –> 56 + 44
|Product||Available CaO||Total CaO|
|Quick Lime||70 % (±2)||85 % (±2)|
Hydrated Lime is produced by reacting Quick Lime with water in continuous hydration. The end product is a fine dry powder. If a precisely controlled amount of water is added to quicklime, a (violent) reaction ensues with much evolution of heat. In the chemical reaction with water, the lumps of quicklime break down to a dry fine white powder known as hydrated lime.
Quicklime + (a controlled amount of ) water à hydrated lime (also called lime hydrate)
CaO + H2O à Ca(OH)2
Hydrated lime is used for water treatment, Soil stabilization, in construction, caustic soda, bleaching powder, pickling of steel, sanitation protective points for buildings, as whitening agents in sugar industry, in Putty plants etc
|High-Grade Hydrated Lime||70-75 %|
|Medium/Low-Grade Hydrated Lime||< 65% In the range of 5%(60-65%, 55-60%……. 45-50%.) as per the customer requirement|
Air Slaked lime generally is known as Rodi (in local language) is a mixture of lime particles and ash formed during calcination from the coal.
We also offer lime powder with different grades. These are commonly known as Falka and Garda used for various purposes like soil stabilization, for construction, as a whitening agent etc.
|Water Slake Lime (Falka)||30-40%|
Limestone is a sedimentary rock composed principally of calcium carbonate (calcite-CaCO3). It is commonly composed of tiny fossils. It is generally gray in color.
Limestone has a wide range of applications. It is basic raw material for manufacturing of Quick Lime, Cement industries. It is used as a flux in steel and aluminum industries. Recently thermal plants have started using limestone for Flue-gas desulfurization.
|Limestone||50% (±2)||90% (±2)|
Limestone Gitti is formed by the manual breaking of limestone in specific specifications as per the customer requirement. Generally, it is in the range of 10mm-40mm.
